Last week was intense. Everyday my eyes read more horrible news about the loss of those two little boys’ lives. There are details that I wish I had never read. I know, it’s part of life, part of the industry I work in. But it isn’t my favorite part.
One of my favorite parts is learning new things. And today I got a little programming 101. Do you ever know that something is possible but just don’t know how to do it? Also known as the most annoying feeling ever. At least for me. Which is probably why I hated accounting, because you know the answer but not the pathway.
Anyway, today my awesome coworker showed me how to write a program. And while I’m no expert now, he was patient with me and explained what he was doing, so I understand the process. He did all of it — have to give credit where credit is due — but now I have a cool program for my spreadsheet that automatically records my Facebook fan page count, along with all of the other ones that I monitor, at the same time every week. Do you know how wonderful that is? It’s so awesome.
And there are so many cool things coming down the pipe. I love that feeling. Oh, and last week I went back to Utah State to talk to the public relations students. They put my face on a poster. I couldn’t help but smile. I’ve only been graduated for six years. The best is yet to come.

How awesome to be asked back to your alma mater! Even better to learn how to do something you know is possible – I know the feeling well!
Nats!
Oh how exciting that must have been for you to return to USU so accomplished. You are such an amazing woman and I know you can do anything you set your mind to. Hope you and Adam are enjoying the snow!
That story about those two little boys breaks my heart too
I LOVE that you are on that poster!!!! That made me smile so big!
That is so great that they asked you back to speak – and your picture on a poster? That’s awesome! I bet you taught those students a lot.
